Rob’s Full Bio
Operator Experience
Most recently, Rob founded and led the Northern California operations of Security 101, growing the business into one of the company’s top-performing franchises. Under his leadership, the company scaled rapidly, earned recognition on the SDM 100 (Top U.S. commercial security integrators), and was ultimately acquired by private equity—delivering a strong outcome for shareholders while preserving continuity for customers and employees.
Prior to that, Rob co-founded DataXoom, a mobile connectivity platform serving enterprise and mid-market customers with 4G, 5G, LTE, and IoT solutions. As Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Revenue Officer, he helped scale the company from startup to acquisition by ScanSource, a publicly traded strategic buyer. He continues to serve on the company’s Board of Directors.
Earlier in his career, Rob founded True Wireless, building it into one of the nation’s largest value-added wireless resellers serving enterprise and Fortune 500 clients. The company was recognized on the Inc. 5000 and San Francisco Business Times Fastest-Growing Private Companies lists.
Advisor Perspective
In addition to his operating background, Rob has been a member of the Alliance of CEOs since 2009, working alongside experienced founders navigating scale, leadership, and liquidity events. He also participates in evaluating prospective CEOs for membership—providing him with ongoing insight into what separates companies that scale successfully from those that struggle.
He has also served in multiple industry leadership roles, including positions on the ASIS San Francisco Board and BOMA Oakland/East Bay.
Today, Rob advises founders, management teams, and investors on growth strategy, positioning, and M&A transactions—bringing an operator’s lens to every engagement.

Patrick is the founder of Safe and Sound Security, a commercial security and low-voltage systems integrator serving businesses and local governments. After pivoting the company from residential to B2B in 2018, he built a highly differentiated growth engine—combining inbound marketing, strong operational systems, and recurring service revenue.
Under his leadership, the business scaled rapidly:
- From ~$1M to $20M+ in revenue
- Hundreds of contracted customers on long-term agreements
- A repeatable model for growth, customer acquisition, and fulfillment
Today, the company operates with a full leadership team, allowing Patrick to focus on higher-level strategy, capital allocation, and long-term value creation.
